I edited a .JPG file in Paint Shop Pro, and unfortunately did not save the original. I'm wondering if there is any way I can get back a picture that has been saved over (rather than deleted, which is a different scenario). I've tried several recovery programs and not found the photo I'm looking for. Any ideas? Any hope?

    Thanks,

If you have one of the Vista versions that supports Previous Versions - Right-click any drive, folder, or file, then click Properties and then the "Previous Versions" tab. It lists every version available with the date the snapshot was taken.

If you don't have one of those versions of Vista, try Shadow Explorer - which may help:
Shadow Explorer is an alternative program, similar to the “Previous Versions” feature that is not available in all versions of Vista.

I should have said I am running Windows XP SP3. The JPG that was edited was on a CF drive.
