Recovering HP Recovery Partition. (Testdisk)

    Trying to use Test-disk to attempt to make my recovery partition functional... I am fully aware that if i do something wrong i could make irreparable damage to the information there, and i would like to avoid that.

    I am attempting to use the boot sector recovery function as the recovery console does not boot when i push f10 during startup.

    im not sure if im doing any of this right, or if im even aproaching this from the correct angle...

    PERSPECTIVE?!?!

    What model HP? What OS are you running?
    I'll search for HP's solutions if your restore partition seems inoperable.

    too late, I wiped it... running Ubuntu now while i download the recovery Cd's
