Recovering lost email in Windows Live Mail

At times, some miskeying causes the email that I am still writing, to completely vanish. It can NOT be found in Drafts, or Outbox. Is there a method of recovering it ?

 

Seb, sometimes I inadvertently tap some keystroke combo that performs a Highlight-All function, and then the next key I touch "replaces" the Highlight-All text with the next character(s).

It appears as if I've deleted my text when, in fact, careful observation sees a HIGHLIGHT-ALL flash by and my next keystroke is a replacement for All.

Not a true DELETE function per se. But just as destructive.

SOLUTION?

CTRL Z is the UNDO function! I can re-install my Replaced Text (or Deleted, if that's what you're doing) via the CTRL Z (Undo) function.

 

ChristineBCW - your solution would apply if the email was still there but empty, however, the situation I want remedied is where there is no trace of the email.

 

Ah. I was reading what you wrote - the "some miskeying causes" and "email that I am still writing" made me think you were discussing THE TEXT YOU WERE "still writing to completely vanish".

 

"I am still writing" was my (apparently inadequate) way of distinguishing it from emails received or sent.
