Recovering program installations before reinstall of windows

Hi, my computer has become infected with several spyware and and adware programs, Ive tried everything to get rid of them and would like to be able to keep my installed programs and data after reinstalling windows the programs are installed on 3 seperate hard drives, is there a program or a way that I can copy my programs and registry data for the ones I want to keep over to a new installation of windows. Please Help

 

Does "everything" include SpyBot, AdAware and the latest iteration of windows malware cleaner?.
The three used one after the other will generally pick up all the nasties - leastways that's been my experience. As to backing up programs there was a splendid program saver called Remove-It which I used in the w98 and earlier days but sadly it does not work if you have XP. Norton Systemworks used to include such a tool and probably does in todays version if you are brave enough to install that particular product. For data - the easiest way is to simply save all your files etc on a cd or a jumpstick.
That all said if you cannot get rid of the nasties with above anti spyware progs I would be very averse to using a program saver for reinstallation after format/reinstall windows because you may finish up by reinstalling the nasties. In the case of your saved data before putting it back after the format make sure you check it out with your AV first.
