My guess is this is a bootleg version and I would caution you about doing so.

true ... it is a "bootleg" copy of win7 . but this is my only option to restore my laptop to factory settings.

things working against me to restore my system.....

    1. my dvd-drive is flakey ... it burns cds but cant read them
    2. cant use aBootable flashdrive to install windows because my bios doesn't have an advance settings to enable my USB on startup
    3. My original vista recovery partition damaged ...

I would advise you to find a friend or family member ect, with an original Vista disc if thats what you are running, and recover the product key from your current windows installation to restore it to how it was?

Your asking for help to install a pirate copy by the looks of things to upgrade not restore your computers operating system.

my current OS is win7 ultimate ...
it was a Vista Premium pre-installed when i bought it
my current OS has become unstable and unusable recently...
cannot use a CD DVD or an USB to install a new OS ...

is there a way to put a fresh copy of an OS on a recovery partition drive and do a clean install ??
