I spent 2 hrs on the phone with HP yesterday and to finally get my computer up and running, we had to put my system back into it's original state. Hence all my files, docs, photos, etc were lost. Are they totally unrecoverable? Most people are telling me that they are - but I haven't faced up to the fact yet. I've looked at all of the recovery software on this site, but is there one that could help my situation? Thanks in advance for any advice! :wave

In other words: you do not have a backup of your data?

Chances are that your data were added to disk sections that were not part of the original state, so programs like Recuva may actually be able to retrieve your data.
