Recycle Bin???

    I want to delete the recycle bin from the desk top but be able to have a short cut in the start menu to still be able to use it. Can this be done? I want no icons on the desk top. Just wondering. Thanks in advance for the help.

    If you have Windows XP
    you can download TweakUI it is one of microsofts 'powertoys'
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

    once installed
    open TweakUI

    click on 'Desktop' in the left hand menu
    and you will see the list of default windows desktop icons
    deselect any that you do not wish to view

    click 'Apply' and then 'OK'

    All you need to do it right click on your desktop > run your cursor over Arrange Icons By > Deselect Show Desktop Icons

    They'll still be there, but hidden.
