Would it be safe for me to reuse the dell cooler for my E2160 if I get a E5500 or E5400 OEM?

I was told I would need "Thermalright 775 Bolt-thru kit." to use screws from the kit, replacing the intel push pins with the screws from the kit to mount the Intel cooler.

It looks like that part has been confirmed cause there is screws on the manual. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/inspd530/EN/OM/HTML/om_en.zip

The Thermalright 775 Bolt-thru kit is a backplate for your motherboard.

I don't think you need one. If you need one why isn't it already installed in the first place and what is holding the cooler.

I would buy a Retail box of the Intel CPU so you get the stock cooler and don't have to buy anything special.

Why not take a picture of your cpu cooler and post it?

Although I haven't gotten around to taking everything out yet. You can find the picture of it from the papers (that is correct on how it's done) at.

Or in the OEM zip itself on the instructions on how to replace it.

    (as already noted).
