Red screen lock up

Hi,

I am getting random "crashes" when playing Skyrim where the complete screen turns red with the only option being to reset/reboot. I have not experienced the crash using any other software to date. Benchmarking software seems to run fine.

I am running WinXP SP3 and using a Nvidia GTX 670 which seems to get one or two hits when googling together with red screens....

What causes a red screen? Is there any log file that may indicate what the cause could be?
