Red X

I read your post and many similar on many sites. None of the suggestions have worked so far. The RED X only occurs on vzwpix.com in the My Messages section. If I create a Pix Message the pix thumbnails show fine. This is the only site I'm having problems with. If I send a Pix from the Gallery (Blue Mountain) the pix shows fine on my phone - but there is no thumbnail on the website - only the pix name. All is well if I use my wife's system. Have disabled AV, Firewall, SpySweeper, uninstalled toolbars, changed registry per your post, reassociated, Updated Java, Flash, and .... Lowered and or changed IE settings. Tried Safe Mode. Nothing seems to work. Do you have any ideas?

 

I did find one solution, though not the one I want as the final. Installed Firefox.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and open HOSTS file with notepad and find image.com.com to remove any gamespot problem and MSN for any msn problem and so on, u gotta use the find option. (first backed up the file for safety)

Did that already. Only one entry in my hosts file. Have posted to MS Newsgroup as well. If interested, search for RED X & Verizon. I tried most all of the suggestions on other MVP posts and MS KBs as well. Don't really like the idea of reinstalling IE. It works fine except for vzpix.com and Firefox views it just fine, but would still like a solution.
