rediculously slow D/L and U/L

Ok guys I warned you in the intro. section(UBER NOOBER)
I am on a wireless network( I know that my D/L is gonna be slower)
with Verizon DSL and a brand new wireless router/modem combo. I have opened the ports that the site requires. I have my firewalls for windows(crap firewall btw) and my router/modem. I cant get a D/L going faster than 22K, any help would be helpful thx.

ps: that is the only app. that I had going at the time.

 

this could be really wrong configurations causing this, but more likely is that your wireless is at a really low signal strenth, with wireless the futher away you are the less speed you get, try moving closer to the router or useing a ethernet cable to test if this is the case! hope that helps :major i-CONICA :major

 

Well I'm only about 15 feet max. from the router, and I tried your suggestion about hooking up direct and get the same issues. I guess that you are right about it being configured wrong, I'll search the forums for a answer. Thx
