Redistributables?!!

    Morning people.
    Just realised my AVG wasn't working an no matter what I did, I couldn't do a thing about it. Uninstalled and tried to reinstall. I got a mesage stating "MSVC Redistributables installation failed".
    Don't think I'll ever be a Geek but any help here would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for looking anyway guys. Managed to sort it out myself.
    It would appear this is fairly common. Looked at AVG forums but no joy there.
    Basically had a look at what was installed on Windows Update. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Not too much hassle but it worked. Hope this info helps anyone coming across same.
