I want to completely wipe my drive of all partitions and files and begin fresh, how would I be able to do this?

Is it your primary master drive or a back up drive?

If it's your primary master you can wipe it clean with a reinstallation of the OS. Or, depending on your drive's manufacturer you can use a utility from then to wipe the disk clean.

HP only gave me a reformat option. Thats not that I want. I want to wipe the drive clean and reinstall the OS. All help will be appreciated.

Last time i checked, thats what a reformat is  When you boot from the OS disk one of the choices is to format the drive THEN install the OS, not just overwrite the OS or install it on a separate partition
