Reformatted and Have no sound now Help Plz

Well hello. I finally got in. lol. My name is Dee and I am new to all of this so I hope I am doing it right.
Ok here is my problem. I have a Dell Dimension3000 and WinXP was pre-installed when they shipped it. I sorta let my warranty run out and didn't upgrade it. There have been some probs and I had to re-format with a older version of XP that I have. No prob and got all my updates. But since doing this, I now have no sound at all. I went to device manager to look for it but cannot find it there either. Dell will not help as I do not want to buy a new warranty. Is there a way I can find it and get it up and running again?

and the sound drivers are located here
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...=1&vercnt=3&formatcnt=1&libid=3&fileid=122481

Download and run the file to install the drivers and hopefully that will fix the sound issue.

have you also fully updated your XP to SP2 as you mention you installed an older XP?

After checking google i found where you can download sound drivers for your computer http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R94481&SystemID=DIM_CEL_3000&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2430&devlib=0&typecnt=1&vercnt=3&formatcnt=1&libid=3&fileid=122481 i hope it helps.

Why repeat what has just been said already? especially as it was already fixed.... 30mins earlier, trying to increase your post count maybe?
