Looked at the threads brought up.see nothing like this addressed.since replacing the hard drive and formatting xp pro again getting rid of past problems.it seems there is another or is there?we all know about the progress bar normally seen in the tray correct?Since doing everything over again I no longer get that.this I doubt is normal even thnough navigation seems not a problem.that progress or lack thereof is.any suggestions?Thank You

 

ok, from what i can gather your browsing websites but see no progress bar on the bottom of IE or Firefox?

or is this in windows explorer?

 

Frefox yes I see the white space that says something is going on.Explorer No.should I be concerned? Thanks for the reply Phoenix

 

aha, nah of course not mate - the only thing you should be concerned about is nothing happening when your trying to browse

some settings, tweak programs, or options can disable seeing the progress bar.

i would only worry if something bigger happens - i think you'll be ok mate, but good on you for checking it out - with computers u can never be too sure

 

Thanks champ.found out I did forget one piece of software:Java so now if it does not work no worries.I can live with that but not having commands like before was another story and why things were done(changed out) to begin with

I sure know that.really great bunch here.i will make time to lurk or just read if nothing else.I moderate on a music forum which keeps me hoppin too.no sign of that progress thingie yet but it's ok i can still do my thang.including stopping by here more often.

 

Update! honestly not sure how or what I did aside from fooling with tools,View,file.ect.in any case the missing progress space in the tray is back.just thought I would share some good news for a change

Absolutely Phoenix.small stuff like that can get big but getting a solution before that happened works for me lol
