My computer is running okay, but it still could be better. I was talking to a friend and he said any time you get a virus, you should just reformat your computer. Is this true? If so, what is the best way to reformat your computer? I don't want to lose my files.

1.You can clean your computer of the virus, instead of reformatting it every time.
    2. If you reformat you computer without backing it up you will loose all of your files

There are ways of backing up your system however if you back it up and a file is contaminated , when you restore it, the computer will still have the contaminated file on it.

After doing extensive work with Chaslang, why would you now want to reformat?

Well for starters, backing them up on another drive works.
