Reg. Troubles

    I have a friend (seriously not me) that was cleaning his HD and erased compress old files... now his registry is pooched and system restore didn't help.. this is XP.. so anything else he can do to save his machine?

    from what he has said it is while windows is running.. but I can ask when he calls again..
