Regcure

I know this thread was started a while ago, but hopefully it will get noticed

I am been running XP on my computer for over 2 years now and I have a lot of applications installed as this is a shared computer with my kids.. Anyway, recently it has started to run extremely slow and I can hear the box chugging away.

I read about Regcure here: http://www.registrycleanergeeks.com/regcure/ stating that it will delete all unwanted registry keys and increase the performance of my computer?

Do you think this is a scam? There seems to be many sites plugging this software but I'm still a little skeptical?

You mention CCleaner, do you think this will be better for making my machine quicker, or is there anything else I can do?
