I need to uninstall/reinstall a program. It was suggested to me to run regdelete.exe. The program is a video editing program and I have Project Files and Auxillary Files saved in folders in this program. If I run regdelete.exe will these files be safe or will they be erased?

Seeing no-one has replied as yet, I will throw in a suggestion or 2, until the real experts come along. Can you back up these files to another drive? To CD or DVD? If each type of file ends in the same suffix, like xls for Excel, doc for Word docs, you get the idea, you could rename them all to "oak", or whatever, for the time being. This would keep them safe during the uninstall/re-install. Then rename them back to their original suffix. Always better to back them up, however, to a removable media. A lot safer too. Bazza
