I have a disc which is region one. I looked at my settings it's on United Kingdom but my disc will not play, the disc is from a different region according to my computer????????. I have windows vistarolleyes

UK is not region 1 but region 2. Also you can only change the region code some 4 times before your player becomes a doorstop.

 

UK is region 2 which is why the disk wont play.

Thanks guys I do not want to take the risk changing regions again also that software is not compatible with windows vista

 

Right-click the executable and and run in compatibility mode, that might work.

 

I have tried right clicking on the software there is no compatibility mode is this the same thing as executable?

Is this a movie? Are you just trying to watch it one time? Something like DVD decrypter will remove the region coding on the files it copies to HD which would be playable on the PC. You would have to reburn the DVD files to DVD, possibly shrinking, if you wanted a region free dvd disc.
