   Hello,
   
   I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with a DVD ROM drive and Windows XP. Can anyone tell me how I can check which regions the DVD player will accept? And if it won't accept DVDs from other regions, can anyone tell me a hardware or software way to get around this?

   To check the regions of a DVD drive, Goto Device Manager > Click DVD/CD Rom Drives and double click the DVD drive > click DVD Region Tab
   
   Note: you only have a few times you can change this.

   as for software then try this DVD Region+CSS Free Lite
   
   
   No doubt others may have a free software option.
