Register og homepages

    Hi
    I've been a little unlucky for the last days when I ordered an item at an electronic homepage. :(
    The seller sent me a refurbished electronic instead of a new one. Unfortunatly I can not prove what the homepage said at the moment of the purchase because he has added the text now. :mad

    Is there any homepage that keeps the records or register the changes of homepages?

    Sorry to hear of your experience, this page "may" help, although its not perfect and is not as uptodate as it could be http://www.archive.org/index.php

    only other possible is to search on google for the company and specifically the page of the item you bought and then click Cached as this again may bring up an older page ( generally a few days back )

    Thanks for the suggestion. The archive.org homepage found something from last year. But the cached search at google gave the result I was looking for. Thanks again!

    Your welcome, glad you found the info.

    As a tip now you have that page if not done already as that cache of the page willchange, do create a screenshot of it as proof, press PrtScn button and then open up MS Paint and click edit > paste > then save image.

    Hi Dardo

    Dont know which country your from, but if you have a trading standards or consumer watchdog type Gov dept then you could ask them for advice and having an image may help and the cached images do have a date and time stamp at the top of when google cached the page, so gives timeline.
