Where do I find the "back-up" file when I run "scanregw", I want to make a minor change in the registery but 1st I want to make sure I can undo it if necessary, also HOW do you use the "back-up" file if necessary ??? Sys. Win. 98SE - Thanks

The easiest way is to go into the registry, highlight the top of the tree-view which should be My Computer, then go to File, Export and follow the prompts.

Call it whatever you want so long as the extension remains .reg and save it somewhere convenient.

If you ever need to use this backup then simply double-click on it and it will automatically update the Registry.

Thanks Insomniac, that is what I thought, but wanted to make sure before I make the change in the Registery -
