    Yes otherwise over time and correlated to activity your system will become very bloated and slowly but surely begin slowing and fuctioning in an impaired manner.

    Agree with Bold Eagle.
    index.dat, Internet temporary files, cookies, MRU lists, prefetch etc., all grow and grow. Not only that they show where you have been to anyone who knows a bit about PC housekeeping. Bazza
