Registry backup software

Am looking for a good registry backup software. Preferably freeware.

Some call me cheap, but I like to consider myself more on the prudent side.

Have been using Erunt, seems to work well, but I always keep myself open to suggestions of maybe a better mousetrap. Like to hear opinions.

I use Erunt to back my registry up, RegCleaner to clean it....

 

Same here. I just extract it to it own folder eg; C:\Erunt and save the backups there.

 

If you let ERUNT put the backups in the default location in the Windows folder, they can be accessed from the Recovery Console. So if you do something to the Registry that prevents Windows from booting, you can fix it.

It's a good idea to print out the instructions for dealing with this situation and keep them on hand, since you won't be able to get to the files if the computer won't boot.
