Registry Cleaner

Can anyone recommend a good registry cleaner for Windows XP. I have a couple of machines at the office that have had software added and removed and they're a lot slower than they used to be. I'd rather not have to take the time to reformat and reinstall if I can help it.

Hey DBV For fast, thorough, easy a lot of us use RegSupreme. I've used it for quite a while. Gives you automatic backup so you can undo an "Oh Crap". Faster than a speeding electron too. Don't be amazed at how much garbage it finds in your registry. First time I ran it, it got 600 or so errors. You can tell it to ignore certain repeating/rebuilding entries. Whole buncha good things and no bad. It costs a little (about $12.00 US) but it's shareware for 30 days. I've been very happy with it.

Would that be the answer to this problem......

BlackIce Firewall was uninstalled several months ago and then they let their PC Cillin subscription expire. Instead of paying later (after they got two viruses) they were instructed to uninstall PC cillin and install upgraded version.

Every time they attempt to install the software, they get a message that tells them that BlackIce neecs to be turned off or uninstalled (dont recall what she said now.

Is it possible that it's a registry issue?
She's talking about reformatting the hard drive but I know that's unnecessary.

She's running XP home, and attempted a "System Restore" to no avail

any ideas?
