RegVac is simple safe and has a automatic setting .This really sped me up ,even made me go buy it after using the 30 day free trial(I think it's still here somewhere)

I have never tried the registry compact since I use a different product to do that. But I doubt that it will do anything 'bad' to your computer ;)

  8. I use the compact registry from registry mechanic and my system performance did improve and i had little problems with it too. :D It just takes out blank lines that mean nothing to the registry. Anything that works and is needed it doesnt touch and it works pretty well.

the only real registry cleaner i've ever used was the one in System Mechanic. and it seems to clean out a lot of the garbage and i never had any problems with it. i'm sure some of the others take more of a deep scan route, but system mechanics tool seemed to work good for me

when you say little problems do you mean few problems or... small problems?

  11. I mean few actually i never had a problem with it im sorry i worded that incorrectly and it does bump performance nicely. Give it a shot and see what happens if theres a problem remember that you can create a system restore point before doing it and undo it with that if there are problems.

I also just tried the registry compact feature, and yes it seems too improve system performance. Doesnt cause anything to mess up either ;)

  15. Yeah I really dont get any problems with my system anyway it seems to love win2k and it usually has like barely any errors in the registry when i run it anyway. I use it when im out fixing computers for other people though. But i still use it on mine once a week.
