Registry Cleaners.. Which One?

Hi Guys,

Whats the best windows XP registry cleaner you can recommend? I havent formatted for a few months now and I`ve installed and un-installed a very large amount of games and programs over the past months and would like to go through my registry and delete any unknown programs registered into the registry...

I really think I need to get into it before my machine starts slowing down to a crawl, I can slowly feel it getting that way recently and I am sure it is the registry that needs a good clean!

 

Not to worry, I used Reg Supreme, Found 2408 useless registry entries!

Is that the norm? I let the program backup, cleaned, then scanned again, found another 105, backed up, cleaned, scanned again and all was clean, just reset then, now back online, PC seems to be going a little better now, a noticable diffrence, it's amazing what one little program can do for you

 

I only found 119.

It's important to reboot after you run your reg cleaner, to load the edited registry. (But maybe that's what you meant by "reset.") Your machine doesn't know that you've altered the registry until it "reads" the registry during the next boot-up.

Oh yeah. I found about 2000 the first time I ran it, too, and cleared them all with nothing but good results.

I just added it to my 'Fresh Install' CD, I think its a good choice program to be included as a MUST HAVE, I went to bed after I posted, just woke up, usually my machine would chug a bit.. since cleaning the reg out, it doesnt do that! Reg Supreme is a brilliant program, I only downloaded it because in your registry section of the site it was a 'Pick'.. I am NOT disappointed! Thanks

I did a full system reset, aka start > Turn Computer Off > Restart.. after I did that, thinks changed, usually just in the start menu surfing around using the mouse, there was a bit of lag before, now they instantly open without any hesitation..

I have used registry cleaners before, but normally I ended up reformatting due to my null knowledge of what I am really doing in there, but Reg Supreme knows what it can and cant touch for you which is brilliant in my opinion, for the first time there is an application that has taken the real severe danger out of repairing your registry!

I have also just noticed, my download speeds have increased since cleaning out my registry.... what the....

Usually I get around 50 to 60Kb sec download via Emule for instance, now im getting between 90Kb and 120Kb...

Downloading from games.bigpond.com, using the 'Bigpond Broadband' member download links, I got 110Kb max as the norm, I just downloaded a 250MB Demo @ 161Kb Sec and it stayed that way for the complete download!

I love RegSupreme. I have never had a problem with it & I find that it's the first registry utility that actually does what it says it will. Best $12.95 I ever spent.

 

Wow works great. But I had 4053 usless entries
