Registry Error when start windows Xp, Please HELP!!

Dear Anyone who can help..

I try to update my videocard Asus a9250 Se
from www.ati.com
then it restart fine...however when i turn off computer
and the next day i try to turn on computer and start windows XP

and it came up blue screen " Registry error"
I try to press F8 go to safe mode..the blue screen also came up
then try to choose the last work configuration , it also not working..

then i try to use win xp boot cd, my SATA HDD is not detected..
my motherboard is gigabyte ga 7vt600 1394.
I download SATA boot drive , i press F6 in windows XP setup
put the disk drive.

then it comes up like this

file\winxp\viasraid.sys caused
an unexpected error ( 18 ) at line 2113 in d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdik.c


i have no idea what to do now..
PLease help
If anyone know what to do ..it will be great

Try this first and clean the previous driver installation and starting fresh.
First, go to http://www.drivercleaner.net/ and get Driver Cleaner (it is free).
Now go to add/remove programs and remove the current (ATI or Asus?) driver.
Then boot into safe mode and run Driver Cleaner TWICE, each time deleting all that it finds.

A question. From your post, it appears that you are unable to boot to windows. But, I see you are posting now.

Either I misread your post, OR you are using a different computer to post this information.
