Registry File deleted

Somehow a registry file was deleted . Everything runs fines....so do I need this file?
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current... it has symbols and question marks in it....like ????6'???? and so on. It isn't a 6 but looks like one with an arrow point at the top of it.
The window pops up at start up that the file is missing. Thanks for any info you have for me.

where did you find that desk top picture?? not bad.

 

She is pretty isn't she! Here is a copy of her...not sure where I got it though. Will try what you said....yes I have AV protection and lots of other things I am using.....just keep it in a folder.

 

Well, I tried to delete it from the Systems Configuration Registry. Either I am doing something wrong or it is too stubborn to go away! Can you help?

 

It wasn't in the registry when I ran it, but it still shows up in the startup and registry folder of msconfig.

Anyone know how to stop this from popping up on my start up screen? PLeeeeeeeeeese?!

 

Download 'Startup Inspector for Windows '(available this site methinks) Install it - run it and then delete the offending thingo from there and see if that works.
Apart from that you may have to look for a malware file somewhere in your system.
