I download it and ran a scan. It found 400 errors! The program says it will only fix the errors in the first6 catergories. :(

Has any purchased the full version? Was it worth it?

How much is it effecting my system performance to still have over 400 errors on my system?

    Thanks everyone!

I do not have experience with Registry Mechanic but would like to recommend some freeware registry cleaners and backup for your consideration - RegCleaner, RegScrubXP, and Erunt for backup. All three can be located in the Registry section of MG. I have been using these programs for months without experiencing any problems.

400 items is quite high - you need to proceed with caution. Backup your registry w/Erunt prior to making any changes & create a restore point if OS is XP. Also, I would be hesitant to make that many changes at the same time. I had over 160 items the first time I used a registry cleaner. I proceeded to select between 20 to 40 corrections at a time - rebooting and checking a few items - then rerunning the cleaner after another backup & restore point. I know this is time-consuming but I was able to get through the process without incident.

Hope I was able to help - good luck

    Slim

Appreciate the compliment & RegCleaner is my favorite as well.

    Check out

    JV16 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=462 Shareware version.

This is the heavy duty version of the original RegCleaner. It is so damn powerful that I am scared to use all its capabilities.

I think RegCleaner (free) has now become RegSupreme (shareware)

    Check out

    http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/

for the last freeware versions available. I use RegCleaner (free) and JV-16 (free)(but very carefully). Have not tried the shareware versions of either. Bazza
