My wife seems to have acquired some malware/adware (...the Zeus Virus Detected Popup window came up) while web surfing in her account. I was able to shut down her stuck browser script, (FF) and started thinking about how to approach this problem when it occurred to me that her account is a "Regular User" account.

My account, on the other hand, is an Administrator Account and I have already installed some weekend scanning software (Malwarebytes and SAS) on this computer.

My questions are simply, should I attack this from within her regular account or should I switch to my Admin account to perform? The first thing I tried to do after getting her browser to close was to "Run as Administrator" the installed copy of Malwarebytes....it would not respond" Will even switching accounts be safe or even necessary to do?

Thanks in advance for your response!

I suggest you run all malware scans from an Administrator account. Any items (files, registry keys/values) that need to be deleted won't be blocked by restrictions in the non-admin account.
