Reinstall A Driver

Hello
To remove a driver and install the current one, shouldn't you uninstall the driver after downloading the new one to desktop them when you reboot, install the new driver?
I ask because NVidea says to install the new one and click custom.
However, I have found that the installer2 folder gets filled with clutter.

Can you explain why you need to 'reinstall' a driver? I'm assuming you don't mean to 'update' a driver.
Need to know what are the problems prompting you to reinstall it.
And what software program, if any, are you using to do this.

 

I had to replace a monitor. It flickered a bit when opening and closing a page.I had a new cable.The same type replacement did the same. I therefore removed the NVidea driver and installed the newest. My installer2 folder was full so I purged it before doing anything. The monitor is now running well.
There has been a lot of discussion about NVidea and how to remove its drivers.
At the NVidea forum many are complaining that Win 10 and their NVidea cards had issues and their cards are bricked.

It sounds like you are saying that the problem is now resolved, which is great.

 

Regarding the flickering with Chrome but not with Edge is solved by reinstalling Chrome.
I hope this help another viewer with the same problem.
