reinstall windows xp

keyboard not working once windows xp boots, so can I still reinstall windows xp and input info?

 

If your keyboard is not working it follows that you cant input information. Try your existing keyboard on another computer or buy a new keyboard. Your KB is faulty.

 

Windows is faulty, because it works until winxp loads. I am asking if I can reinstall based on above nfo. Question is whether reinstall takes place at a pre windows state, or does it require windows initially?

 

If you boot from a CD to reinstall then it will be before Windows loads.

I do suggest we try some diagnostic steps first though as this shouldn't happen as a keyboard is a plug and play device so default drivers should run it.

Does the system work with a different keyboard plugged in?

 

I have done steps, but nothing worked. I posted in driver and malware sections.

 

Thanks to all! I was able to use the keyboard in order to do the reinstall and everything is working just fine now.
