    Hello,
I've just reinstalled XP and I'm having trouble with my display is all wierd. It's set at the lowest resolution and I cannot adjust. I've checked under device manager. I have two yellow highlighted areas: Multimedia audio controller and video controller (VGA compatible). I'm assuming I need drivers or some such thing? Were can I get these?

Glad you finally got the reinstall over with.
Yes you always need drivers after installing Windows (even the much vaunted Vista). It would help if you could name the hardware, (motherboard, graphics onboard? audio etc.

Not sure if Everest will find them ubless Windows already knows but try it - I know Everest works in low res.

Other than that the pc is not a Dell you have given us almost no information.

What is the make of the pc?
Remove the power, open the side and list the boards plugged into the motherboard. Also list the motherboard.

Most boards have their ID etc printed on them somewhere.

Download Everest from MG most popular
Post the txt file it generates

Your pc belongs to a company, right? So ask whoever gave you the windows disk for the drivers disk as well. (S)he should have known that you would need them.

    Thank you for your message.
No disks its just a small hobbled together network. Here's the report. So what will fix this screen? The display adapter?
