I recently had to reformat a machine which had office 2007 on it. Unfortunetly, I don't know what version, (maybe Office 2007 plus?). I do however have both the product key and product ID.

Is there a tool I can use to figure out what exact version was installed? thanks.

    Scroll down here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928516
and you will see Product IDs in one column, followed by the SKU.
I'm not sure how that works. I own a boxed copy of Office Home and Student 2007 and my product ID should be 002F. I can't find that anywhere on the box and there are a lot of stickers with alphanumeric strings!
