Reinstalling Programs from data recovered CD

I had my hard drive sent off and had the data retrieved off of it. I am trying to reinstall some of the programs that I had on my previous hard drive. I have not been successful in this adventure. Any help would be appreciated. The program I am working on at this time is Money 2002. I have the original CD but I am unable to get the files that I had on the program before the crash transfered from the restored CD onto the new hard drive version.
