    Hi

Newbie here with limited technical knowledge.

I am not saying my computer is infected but wanted to ask this hypothetical question: If I reinstall Windows on my PC would that get rid of any adware, malware, spyware, trojans, viruses, worms, etc. Or, is there a possiblity that such bad stuff might still be on the computer?

    Thanks

    Jon

    Welcome to Major Geeks.
A fresh install on a formatted drive will NOT have that (or any files or programs you installed afterward) .
A Repair install will just repair your Windows and leave your files and programs intact, including any nasties you have collected.
If you think you have those, check into the Malware Forum (Clinic) for a checkup.
