I'm a sucker for crypto biology and I found this story entertaining. Is the Kraken alive and well?

I'd seen that same story you linked to just the day b4. Would be fantastic if it were true, but being a sceptic by nature or training (or both) I'm quite doubtful but would be wonderfully glad to find out I'm wrong (given I've never done oceanic travel on the seas).

And, I hadn't thought of the clear reference in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" to the "Great Old Ones" -- i.e. ELDER berries! [clearly meaning "the Elder (Great Old Ones (or GOO!) Buries!!!) Ve-ry in-ter-est-ing as they used to say on the old, ooold, OLD TV show Laugh In (or however they spelled it).

Would have made a great X-Files episode. sigh (was mostly very disappointed in the tepid new episodes released some months back -- but hey, you can't step into the same guano heap twice, or however that wise old saying goes).

I'd really love to see a Monty Python movie devoted to Lovecraftian horror stuff -- what a hoot that would be! Too obscure, I guess, to have enough appeal though.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming..... da dah do dah da dooohhh...bump bump bump
