do you mean remarked as in counterfeit?

either way, download CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php) to check your cpu information. If there are any discrepencies with the specs (eg your processor is supposed to have 1mb l2 but it only has 512kb) stated in CPU-Z and what it's supposed to have, then i'd contact the CPU manufacturer and the guys who sold your computer to report the discrepencies.

I recently upgraded my proc to an AMD 2400+ from a Duron 1.3. After I reset the fsb in my bios to 133/133 the games I play wouldn't run anymore. I tried many cures, but the only thing that made any difference was turning my fsb back down to 100/133. Cpu-z reports it exactly like it was sold, when the bus is turned up, and as an 1800+ when it is turned down. I have to wonder if the proc is a counterfeit, or if my mb is hosed up. Now that the fsb is turned back, the games run really well, but I have occasional freeze ups when I am online. Bobstar
