    Hi
Just thought I would ask advice about a situation. At work I have my own computer, its on a network. Today when I went to log into my msn account I saw on the top tool bar....remember me cookie. It wasnt there the other day, and also last week I read a personal email from a friend, thou I went into history & deleted where I had gone that day.
Do you think anyone could of read my msn email even thou I deleted it from history, & can I get rid of remember me cookie.
    Cheers
    Jane

In my experience the MSN Hotmail stuff is reasonably secure... as far as I know a cookie which remembers you will simply remember that your hotmail account was last used to go into e-mail and automatically enter it - it won't let someone into your account without entering your password...

The only thing I would be real careful of is if you are using MSN Messenger and you have it set to automatically log in as you, because from Messenger you can go straight to the associated Hotmail Inbox without having to enter a password.

If you aren't using Messenger or have to log in each time you do use it, and your password and 'security question' are safe then regardless of the 'remember me' cookie I sincerely doubt someone has been able to snoop your email.. but thats just my oppinion on how it all works, so I look forwards to seeing what other people have to say on the subject - I've possibly missed something...

    Thanks QuickSilver,
Its only on a small network of 4 other computers. I must be misunderstanding what remember cookie means. I imagined it would save my passwords etc but is there such a thing?
Also, if I want to check my bank account details etc, would that keep passwords etc.
How do you get/remove this remember me cookie. Also, it might help if I delelte cookies/internet folders etc.
    Jane
