remote access to my father's computer

I need to be able to reach out to my father's computer and show him how to do something/get somewhere without getting in my car and driving to his house. There used to be a program called reach out. i'm sure there are others. i just need one that works when he is on the internet. thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I find TeamViewer good too, but many Windows versions provide remote desktop natively. Have you tried it?

 

Teamviewer will do nicely and it is free for personal use. Great product!
