Remote Connect

    Hey,
    I have an XP machine, i also have remote connect, i connect regually to a windows 2000 server at work, does anyone know how i can print to my local printer from the remote one? (ive tried sharing it but it's usb and i still cannot find it) I have been told it mite be OS related (win2k doesnt like such things??)

    Might have to install the printer driver on the win 2000 machine for it to run. Use your installation cd on that machine. Post back.

    I do not believe Win2k Terminal Services supports local printing. However, the configuration for that is on the Local Resources tab of the RDP client on your XP system (see attached image).

    All three of the boxes are ticked and yet i can't see my drives (local) on the remote pc nor print to my (again local) usb printer :(

    Try mapping the drives ....if they are marked as shared.
