Remote Connection

I get a lot of phone calls from friends looking for assistance on pc problems and many of you will know its hard to find anything out over the phone. As we all use xp home would other software be needed for me to simply connect to their pc's or can i do it with what we have.
According to M$ it has to be an xp pro for the host.

As an aside at what point do you stop being a friend and start charging for your time?
