I want to connect 2 laptops that travel to different places and hook up to hotspots and other various places. I already have a third party remote desktop that works on them for my purposes, but it doesnt support changing IPs and such. The manual says to use a 3rd party tunneling connection, but will this work with traveling laptops? And does anyone have a suggestion for a 3rd party tunneling software? Thanks in advance!

Only way I can think of doing this is to get the laptops to broadcast to a dynamic name server service. If you install Tonido the laptops should broadcast to their servers every time they turn on. You would remotely connect to laptopname.tonidoid.com which would always point to the laptop if it is connected to the internet.
