We are trying to setup a remote user with a Toshiba Satelitte pro m40 who cannot find the remote desktop wizard under Accessories/communications.
Does anyone know where this wizard is located on this laptop??

Recent updates to MS' terminal server client (aka Remote Desktop) have moved the shortcut to Start --> All Programs --> Accessories (up one level in the Start menu)

@Poltergeist - what OS are you using? I don't see it where you've pointed me to. I'm on XP.

Also kiat, if you're using XP Home edition, you won't immediately have RDC at all!

However, it is available as a download from Microsoft, but requires installation.

He says that its not there! Would it say specifically "remote Desktop"?

Yes, the updated version says 'Remote Desktop Connection'.

Do keep in mind that you won't have RDC on a few different OSs though... what OS is your user on?

I'll have my hat with some ketchup please.

My mistake - RDC is in XP Home after all. My apologies, kiat

XPH can only be client ..XP Pro can be both client and server.

I had the user download the aplication from microsoft to the laptop (XP home) and attempt install. He says that there is was an error msg indicating that it can't be installed because it already is installed.

I had him enable hidden files and folders and had him look for msrdpcli file in applications. It's not there!
I'm certain that this machine had the program at one point....
