Remote desktop software

Hi,
I'm currently installing a couple of new computers for work.
Seeing as these are new machines I want to make sure that everything stays up to date on them and that virus scans (for example) are run regularly.
As I am physically at work rather infrequently (once per week), the best way to do this would be via some kind of remote login, which would let me log on to the respective computers with admin rights.
Can anyone recommend any free software with which I could do this.
The work computers are both running xp, at home I am running both xp and Ubuntu linux.
I currently use the linux remote desktop feature to connect to our server at work, which is also running Ubuntu.

I am grateful for any advice or hints.

Thanks for the quick reply.
However Remote Desktop Control costs $25
I was after something a little more ... free
I'm not saying the software isn't good, it's just that work don't really regard this as a priority, so don't want to stump up the cash.
(I'm only a cr@ppy admin at the uni)

Anyone got any ideas for free products?
