Hey folks. I'm running Win 10 Home x64 and I'm looking to establish a remote connection with another computer running the same. From what I've checked out on this, in order to use the native capability included with Windows, you need to be running Win 10 Pro on the initiating machine. Is this the case? If it is, can anybody recommend a decent (ideally free) third-party app that I can use instead? Thanks.

TeamViewer is what you need, either installed or portable version.

Another vote for TeamViewer and it's completely free.

Are you working over you local network or the Internet?
But I'd offer up remotedesktop.google.com it is a chrome plug in, so both PCs need Chrome installed.

If you need free communications software that runs on LAN or the internet, you may try this link:

    https://www.ssuiteoffice.com/categories/instantlanvideophones.htm

They have everything you need, from Video Phone or a full collaboration suite that includes email, IM, and even file transfers...

All their software is serverless, so no need for any setup.
