on windows XP i can sit down at a computer and logon and start a prorgram and leave it running and go to another computer and remote into that computer and see the desktop/program just as i left it. In Win Ser 2003 it doesn't do this. the program continues to run but i can't get acess to it. ie: i can see the process in taskmgr but i can't get the screen for the program to come up for the program. does anyone know how to make 2003 behaive like XP in this case.

    thanks

Windows Server 2k3 is exactly that, not a Workstation OS. You can use a VNC software if you are working on the LAN, and need to do something on the server. Are you sure the program running is not a program, but a Running Process.

Personally, if it is on your LAN, I would use a VNC program not Remote Desktop.
