Im not being paranoid, but the other night im sure someone was watching what I was doing on my screen!
Not only that, but the mouse wasn't working properly, seemed like someone else had control!
Is this possible that they were doing this?
I live in a shared house, one of 4 people connected to the same router. How do I stop this, or get them back by doing the same???

There are several programs that can do this but they all require your co-operation in one way or another. Is it possible someone else may have had access to your computer?

I'll be going offline very shortly but check your programs list - if Teamviewer is installed then uninstall it.

Trojans capable of this (and more!) have been around for 15+ years that I know of. Get it checked over, as avalanch suggested.

    windows 7 home.

I noticed on the NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE, at times there are 2 wireless routers :-s probably nothing to do with this subject, but can someone explain what it's about?

1 is connected to the main router, and the other one, I cant understand what it is. It says Wireless Router TL-WR740N and the other one is the main Netgear router for our wireless

Nor do you want to. It's simply one of many Remote Administration Tools (RAT's) that hackers use. They mostly do this via file binding, (binding it to a exe, image, etc) and via java applets..

Your wireless adapter will pick up any signal that's strong enough so seeing other nearby routers is quite normal. It's not usually possible to connect to them though without knowing the wireless password. You should disconnect from the unknown router and not try to connect to it again without the owner's permission.

In Windows 7, to turn off remote access do the following:
    1. Right click "My Computer" and select Properties.
    2. In the left pane click Remote Settings.
    3. Select the Remote tab.
    4. Uncheck/untick the box in front of Allow Remote Assistance connections to the computer.
    5. Click Apply at the right bottom of the box before you close the box.

Write down or print the instructions just in case you want to undo the change you made.

    open up
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center
and see if you're connected to any Homegroups. Though I doubt that would let him have remote access over your desktop.

You never answered the question in posts #2 and #3. Is it possible that some other occupant could have had direct access to your computer? Do you have a strong password for access to your computer? Is Teamviewer installed?

Thanks. We need the feedback to narrow down possibilities.
